Wikimania Library Edit-a-thon

When?

10:00–16:00 Wednesday 14 August 2019 (drop-in at any time)

Where?

Swedish Library Association, Oxtorgsgränd 2, Stockholm

What?

An all day edit-a-thon where you can meet Swedish librarians who in one way or another work with or encounter Wikipedia in their day-to-day work. In the edit-a-thon we’ll focus on #1lib1ref and #OAwiki – two favourite activities of librarians all over the world. Get information seeking advice and discuss open access and open GLAM with the other participants.

There will also be an opportunity to hold a pop-up lightning talk (3-5 minutes) about libraries, Wikipedia, and GLAM. This is a way to share our Libraries <3 Wikipedia experiences and to highlight opportunities for new activities and collaboration. Coffee and snacks will be available throughout the day. Lunch is not included but the Swedish Library Association is centrally located so there’s plenty of lunch spots nearby.

Directions

Take the green line and get out at Hötorget (from T-centralen, the direction is Odenplan). Take the exit on Kungsgatan, cross Sveavägen (towards the east) and take the stairs after the pharmacy (apotek) from Oxtorsgatan to Oxtorsgränd.
