2019 talk:Meetups/LGBT+ meetup

From Wikimania

Meetup Time[edit source]

Our LGBT+ User Group meetup is scheduled for Friday night at 8:00pm / 20:00, though we may not make it there if we are coming from the Welcome Reception which is in another venue. I think it is important to be able to attend the Wikimania Photo which is scheduled for 19:30. Question -- should we:

  • Keep the time and start when we get there
  • Move the time back an hour and potentially face conflicts
  • Move the time back 2 hours to begin at 22:00

I suggest keeping it and starting a little late (we can add a note), though want to see what you think Bluerasberry and Shikeishu as you are the ones who signed up thus far. --- FULBERT (talk) 01:54, 13 August 2019 (UTC) @Shikeishu:[reply]

Let's keep the time. If you look at 2019 Talk:Meetups the organizers are sure that the Friday night meetup timeslots are ideal. Blue Rasberry (talk) 08:35, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Agenda[edit source]

I like the agenda we have here, and think we may want to adjust the one on Sunday to focus on our diverse community and the topic of in-person gatherings (a global meet-up, presence at local or regional gatherings, etc.). How does this sound? --- FULBERT (talk) 01:58, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

They should probably also have somewhat more differentiated names for the two sessions.--Pharos (talk) 03:57, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think that sounds like a good idea! Any ideas for differentiating the two by name? Or just call them LGBT+ meetup, Part 1 and Part 2? --Shikeishu (talk) 20:39, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
