Add topicEveryone benefits from having engaged attendees at conferences whether its a national, regional, or global conference. We've seen how conference have evolved in recent years, now these conferences have taking on diverse audiences whether they are in the room, on the screen or watch a session recording.
Prior to Covid the sole purpose was to get people in the room, in 2021 we faced a new challenge of supporting virtual attendees. In 2022 we repeated that with a slightly different methodology. Here we are at Wikimania in 2023 despite starting with the aim of varied scholarship, financial constraint put our priority back on supporting in person scholarship. One aspect we changed was that writing a report has never been a very effective or immediately impactful out, this year we asked recipient to take on a more active support role.
Where to in the future, how can we support travel, online scholarship, and satellite events? How do we get there? How do maximize the impact of this support?
