2024:Meetups

From Wikimania
⧫ Collaboration of the Open ⧫

On this page you can sign up for rooms in order to organize meetings. The rooms are available during the lunch break on all four days and after the regular programme on Thursday and Friday.

Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. They are available in 30-minute time slots. You can sign up for more slots back-to-back, if needed.

Please note that meetups are completely self-organized. There won’t be AV support or streaming or live interpretation. You are just signing up for the space.

Room descriptions are available on the venue description page.

Please sign up for rooms with respect to the anticipated number of participants of your meeting. The largest rooms (Warsaw and Lviv, having 144 m²) are twice as big as the medium ones (Dilijan, Ohrid, and Istanbul, having 80 m²). You don't want to waste the conference space, do you?

Room size is marked in the tables below using the t-shirt size scale.

All days / online

  • Join the Wikimania 2024 iNaturalist Bioblitz! (August 1–15, worldwide.) Make iNaturalist observations of plants, birds, mushrooms, insects and other species around you. Open for remote participants, but of course also people in Katowice. Make sure your observation photographs are available under Wikimedia-compatible licenses, so that they can be re-used on Wikimedia projects. An initiative of Wikidata's WikiProject Biodiversity.
