2024:Program/VSN Meetup
Wikimedia Argentina & Wikimedia UK would like to invite you to the Volunteer Supporters’ Network meetup at Wikimania this year! It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to meet in person, so we’re taking the opportunity to hold a pre-conference event this year - many thanks to the Conference organising committee for offering us this opportunity.
We’ll be holding the event 14:00-16:00 at the pre-conference venue.

If you support volunteers as part of your work in the movement, please come along and meet others doing the same work! Share your challenges and your successes, but ultimately just come along and make some connections.
About us
[edit | edit source]The network began at Wikimania 2014 in London. Since then, we have exchanged our expertise and experiences as well as collaborated on common issues and tasks on a regular basis by:
- Establishing and maintaining communication channels for volunteer supporters from Wikimedia organisations
- Holding meetings/workshops in the context of international Wikimedia events and beyond
- Creating and sharing resources for volunteer support.
Meetup info
[edit | edit source]- The meetup is open to all those who support volunteers as part of their work in the Wikimedia movement, you don’t have to be a member of liaison of the VSN to attend.
- The meetup is a drop-in, please feel free to come for a short time, or stay the whole time!
- There is no online option for the meetup, and all conversations should be understood to be private within the room.
- This is a space to share, to network, and to meet others doing the same work.
- It is expected to be a safe space - We will follow the Universal Code of Conduct. Please take a few minutes to read it. By attending you will be accepting this friendly spaces policy.
