2021:Submissions/Moderator Tools on Medium-sized Wikimedia projects
Speakers
[edit | edit source]Abstract
[edit | edit source]The Moderator Tools team at the Wikimedia Foundation is exploring content moderation tool needs for editors engaging in activities like patrolling new edits, tagging articles, and using administrator tools as part of a cross-departmental pilot project in the Product department. We are currently focusing on researching the tools currently in use to moderate content, what the gaps and needs are, and where the opportunities might be for our team to build new products. Our focus is on the needs of growing medium-sized communities, but we're looking for input from contributors active on any projects.
This session will provide a brief overview of the project and share information on how you can get involved and help to drive the direction of our work.
After the session we will gather in Building 6 - Floor 3 - Table A (unconference) to discuss the questions posed in the talk.
Session Outcomes
