Administrators and uploaders are able to upload files on Wikimania-wiki, while regular users are not. This was done to ensure that all free material is uploaded to Wikimedia Commons while still allowing certain materials, with legitimate use on the Wikimania-wiki, to be uploaded even when it would not belong to Commons' scope. (T225505). Examples of such files could be logos of partners or sponsors.
Rights[edit source]
Uploaders have the following rights, which are also had by sysops:
- Mediawiki:Right-upload (upload)
- Mediawiki:Right-reupload (reupload)
- Mediawiki:Right-reupload-own (reupload-own)
Administrators can appoint and remove uploaders.
