2021:Community Village
Welcome to the 2021 Wikimania Community Village;
This space in Building 1 is for connecting with WMF Affiliates, WMF Community Groups like the Language committee, and VRT (formerly OTRS).
All WMF Affiliates and committees are encouraged to create their own sub-pages where they can highlight presentations of interest to their community. Affiliates can also announce community gatherings both online and in person through this space during Wikimania.
If you have questions, please ask on the talk page, or if it's urgent you can get in touch with User:Pharos, your village guide.

Community Village Table Information
[edit | edit source]There are 140 available tables for Affiliates in Building 1 of our event platform, Movement Groups and General Wiki Projects to have a space at the Wikimania 2021 Community Village. There are 10 "floors" in Building 1, and each floor holds four 10-seat tables and ten 6-seat tables, as well as numerous mini-tables. You can utilize this space to get attendee traffic around the work that you are doing and generate more traction and support for your work and local communities!
Attendees will be able to "take a seat" with you, hear about your portfolio of work and engage with you and your initiatives. You can take advantage of the following tools our event platform (Remo) has to offer:
- Whiteboard: It is a Miro whiteboard and you can embed images, videos that are played on the platform (does not open a separate link, people can watch it "on site") and sticky notes.
- Attendees will be able to ask you questions and engage in video/audio chat.
- You can have a sign up/learn more link on your whiteboard as well.
- Depending on your project or affiliate/movement group, you will be designated a 10 or 6 seater table for attendees to continuously interact with you and your table.
- An actual human does not need to be staffing the table always - all though we recommend human presence for better engagement - you can always leave content on the whiteboard to watch or interact with.
