SDG Contribution[edit source]

Find out who Luke is who spoke up about this during the session - I think a bunch of people joined you without you knowing about it - and they contributed to a big change just in the organization of this conference. Also, can you share tips about how you file your documents that you can access it so easily, it is a discipline that is lacking in many of our projects, and that many can learn from! Thanks for chiming in here, Dagelf! I am in good contact with Lukas who I presume is who you mean by "Luke" and who started the Sustainability Initiative, albeit with a focus on mainly SDG 13 (climate action) rather than the whole set of SDGs. Pinging User:Ainali who I suppose knows more about how the SDG part became so prominent this year, and the two of us had made two attempts to dig deeper, which did not work out. As for documentation, I think this is one of the foundations of open collaboration and reusability, so I am trying to put an emphasis on it as circumstances allow. For instance, when I am organizing events like hackathons, they have a 5-min documentation sprint every other hour, where everybody is expected to take a break from their main activity in order to document it. You can see this approach in action on my page for the current event, and Jan actually created a learning pattern on the topic. Happy to comment on any documentation you'd like me to have a look at. --Daniel Mietchen (talk) 22:08, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
