Wikimania 2019 Stockholm will be the 15th in the series of annual international conferences discussing the Wikimedia projects, the Wikimedia Communities, and the Free Culture movement. It will be held on 16-18 August, at the University of Stockholm. There will also be a preconference on August 14-15, which will include a technical hackathon and other workshop and community events. The preconference is organised separately and is not part of this call for submissions.
For 2019, there is no central program committee nor a central submission form - submissions are made via the form on the topic-specific pages on the wiki, linked below. The program design has the format of "Spaces", each with its own group of "Leaders". Each Space has its own topic area, and the leaders of each space are requesting submissions which help address the conference theme. The conference is prioritising sessions which are future-oriented, collaborative, active, and focused on practical problem-solving. To make a submission, please visit the page of the Space most relevant to your proposal, and click the submission button there.
Submissions for the plenary poster session are not required to strictly follow the Theme and can be proposed by the link below. Lightning talks will be proposed and organised during the conference itself.
The theme for Wikimania 2019 is Wikimedia, Free Knowledge and the Sustainable Development Goals. (SDGs) Each "Space" session relates to at least one of the 17 SDGs, and will help address at least one of their respective targets. You can learn about all the targets on the official website and an explanation of how Wikimedia projects relate to these targets on the conference website at Is Wikimedia really contributing to all the goals?.
All submissions for Wikimania 2019 including the Poster session are made via the link on its wiki page, each is linked below. Note: the Spaces do not all have the same duration, or the same sized room. They are listed here in English-alphabetical order.
