Tuvimos un total de 3800 solicitudes iniciadas, después de eliminar el spam y las solicitudes incompletas, tuvimos 1209 solicitudes reales para revisión. A continuación, estas solicitudes se agruparon por regiones.

Becas y su distribución por región

A continuación puede ver la distribución de becas por región, esto se basó en la cantidad de solicitudes completas recibidas y una asignación ESEAP como la región anfitriona con el costo de viaje más bajo tanto en términos de dólares como de huella de carbono. También fue una consideración aprovechar el sistema de visa amigable y seleccionar más de la región donde normalmente la comunidad lucha para obtener visas para los asistentes. Los números reflejan las aceptaciones de la lista final de las que se ofrecieron, donde las personas rechazaron las ofertas y al siguiente en la fila de esa región se le ofreció una beca. Wikimedia Australia, Wikimedia Deutschland y Wikimedia Malaysia colaboraron con el equipo de becas de Wikimania 2023 para ayudar a respaldar la distribución de los asistentes. Scholarship privileges

A participant awarded with a Wikimania scholarship is entitled to:

• Round trip plane ticket from their country of origin to Singapore
• A hotel stay (within August 14 to 20, 2023) either from
  • Village Hotel Bugis
  • PARKROYAL on Beach Road
• Paid event registration ticket along with the delegate's souvenir pack that contain a paper fan, tote bag, water tumbler and complementary gifts from the Singapore Tourism Board
• Cash Stipend through Singapore NETS Card that can be used to pay public transportation, dining establishments, souvenir shops
